About Me

My name is Stella, born in ’97 and a resident of Sydney, AU. I currently work as an Equity Analyst in a Fintech company, where I work with code (Javascript), write financial content, and do a lot of financial analyses. I graduated with a Bachelors in Management and a Masters in Accounting before jumping straight into my current job. If you wonder how I can also talk about taxation, it’s because I’m also a part-qualified CPA!

I’ve been investing for 8 years now (in global markets) and have experience with different strategies including day trading, swing trading, and value/long-term investing. I have invested in different assets, and these include individual stocks, REITs, fixed income, and derivatives.

Why did I start this blog?

I decided to start this blog because it astounded me as to how regularly I see people have wrong assumptions and knowledge about their finances. I want to help as many people as I can, and there is nothing more scalable than a website!

Mission

Finance for Noobs’ Mission is to spread financial literacy to all members of society. Our articles aim to break down difficult concepts in investing, taxation, economics, and business, into easily digestible information.

Vision

To become the first website people visit when wanting to learn finance.
